As we at PDL continue our initiative to help selected Charities over the course of the year, a quarter at a time, we are proud to announce this quarters beneficiaries are Cancer Research UK, Macmillan Cancer Support, St Gemma's Hospice and Wakefield Hospice.

A number of bodies work together to ensure that we make the best use of the funds we receive and continue to carry out world-class research.

Macmillan Cancer Support

Because cancer can affect your life in so many ways, we do whatever it takes to give people the support they need.

We know cancer can affect you physically, emotionally and financially. We're here to help.

With your support we can be there for the 3 million people in the UK living with cancer.

The Macmillan Support Line offers free, confidential support to people living with cancer and their loved ones. If you need to talk, we'll listen.

St Gemma's Hospice

St Gemma’s Hospice is a local, independent charity and has been providing expert care to the people of Leeds for over 40 years. We provide the best possible care and support for local people with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. We specialise in pain relief and symptom control to help people live as well as possible, for as long as possible. We are one of the leading hospices in the UK.

St Gemma’s welcomes and provides care to everyone regardless of people’s age, gender, disability, race, religion, sexual orientation or diagnosis. Our care is always completely free of charge.

St Gemma’s is the largest hospice in Yorkshire and one of the largest in the UK.

Wakefield Hospice

Wakefield Hospice is a local registered charity. We have been providing expert care to local people with life limiting illnesses for over 30 years.

We are committed to providing the highest level of symptom management and care for people who have advanced active, progressive and life threatening illness.

The hospice endorses a holistic approach in promoting quality of life for patients as well as providing the continuing support that is offered to families and carers.
